The terms that govern using Arclyft to run quotes, invoices, jobs, and payments.
01
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you — or the business you represent — and Arclyft ("Arclyft", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Arclyft app, you agree to these Terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind that business.
How we collect and handle personal information is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
02
Arclyft is a business management app for tradespeople — electricians, plumbers, builders, HVAC and painting businesses — covering client records, job scheduling, quotes and invoices, WhatsApp sending, and subscription billing. We may add, change, or remove features over time as the product develops; we'll try to give reasonable notice before removing something you rely on.
03
04
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full access — no card required to start. After the trial, continued access requires an active paid subscription on one of our published plans.
Payment card and banking details are handled directly by PayFast — Arclyft never receives or stores your card number.
Our Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy and Delivery Policy form part of these Terms.
05
You own the client, job, quote, and invoice data you put into Arclyft. You're responsible for:
We grant you a licence to use Arclyft to run your business; you grant us a licence to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you.
06
You agree not to:
07
Arclyft relies on third-party providers to work: PayFast for payments, Twilio for WhatsApp messaging, Resend for email delivery, and Supabase and Vercel for hosting. Your use of features built on these providers is also subject to their own terms. We're not responsible for outages or issues originating from a third-party provider that are outside our control.
WhatsApp messages you send through Arclyft go through your own WhatsApp on your device, or — for automated messages on eligible plans — through our Twilio integration, subject to WhatsApp's own policies on business messaging.
08
Arclyft, its name, logo, and the underlying software are our property. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you — you get a licence to use the app, not ownership of it. Feedback or feature suggestions you send us can be used freely without any obligation to you.
09
We aim to keep Arclyft available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation — the service may be unavailable during maintenance, upgrades, or issues outside our control. Arclyft is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind beyond what South African law requires and cannot be excluded.
10
To the maximum extent the law allows, Arclyft isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost business, or lost data — arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to Arclyft is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited under South African law, including for fraud or gross negligence.
11
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, doesn't pay for an active subscription past the grace period, or poses a security risk to Arclyft or other users. Where reasonably possible, we'll give notice first. You can export your data as PDF or CSV before closing your account.
12
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any dispute arising from them falls under the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
13
We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever these Terms change, and let account owners know of any material change by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Arclyft after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14
